Totumito Snack Bowl
Totumito Snack Bowl
Suited for all snacking delights, we have just the bowl for you, the Tutomito. Calabash trees called the Totumo are found in Colombia's dry tropical forest. Native to the Amercias, totumos have large seeds traditionally crafted into spherical utensils like spoons and bowls. This mini snack bowl takes the name “Totumito”to reference the calabash but in a smaller size.
Inspired by Zuahaza textiles, our hand-painted ceramics are a fusion of classic craftsmanship and contemporary design. To make this possible, we collaborated with 2 esteemed workshops in the town of Carmen de Viboral, a beacon of traditional hand painting of intricate motifs on white ceramic. Each piece is a testament to the artistry of the community and their rich heritage.
