Whether for decorative elements, comfort, or function, our pillows embody the luxe and leisure of Cartagena.
The Bolivar and Magdalena lumbar pillows in this collection were created from the “extra fabric” derived from their matching standard square pillow sizes. The full line of these designs were purposely created with the goal of zero-waste in textile production.
Named after Simon Bolivar, remembered as the most important figure was Colombia’s independence. He spent part of his life living in Cartagena and was the leader of independence for Colombia, Bolivia, Ecuador, Peru and Venezuela.

THE CARTAGENA COLLECTION INSPIRATION
Cartagena is a Caribbean city along the northern coast of Colombia known for its preservation of cultural heritage. A place where people enjoy walking the colorful streets, drinking juices made from fresh fruits, and dancing to the cumbia rhythms of this Afro-Colombian gem.
This collection was inspired by and is dedicated to Cartagena’s culture and people. To the Afro-Colombians who are authors of Cartagena’s contagious rhythms and flavors. To the ancestors and descendents of the land who to this day tend to its natural beauty. To the modern citizen who values Colombian history, handmade craft, and heirlooms.
Our naturally-dyed and handwoven organic cotton soft textiles are sourced and made with the highest quality standards in mind. We chose timeless colors like sage greens, natural creams, calm blues, and earthy reds that help create a sophisticated space. Inspired by Cartagena’s stunning windows and doors, our pillows and throws were designed to mimic the colonial building patterns using classic stripes and block weaves. This technique enhances the softness of the organic cotton, and the raised-weave design allows you to feel its texture, while still maintaining quality and long-lasting durability.
