Reduce waste

At Zuahaza, we make just what we need. It is better for the environment. When we launch a new collection with pre-orders, we are able to get a count of how many pillows or table linens were ordered so that we can have a realistic number to work with. To further minimize waste, we use the scraps from production to make Zero Waste accessories.

Make time for thing that matters

ALL of our products are handmade, from spinning the cotton, naturally dyeing the yarn, weaving it into fabric, sewing the zipper, washing, drying, ironing, adding hang tags, and finally shipping from Colombia. The entire process involves multiple people who dedicate their time and skills to create Zuahaza pieces. Just to give you an idea it can take 2 full days to make one of our pillows by hand, 4 days to make a throw, and 8 days to make a rug. By placing a pre-order, you give us time to prepare your order thoughtfully.

Support small businesses financially.

As a small business it is not economical for us to spend money to mass produce inventory that may or may not get sold. Pre-orders help us understand the level of interest in our new products so that we can plan wisely.

Prevent impulse buying for consumers.

Last but not least, pre-ordering is a good and healthy practice for consumers. It helps all of us become more conscious of what we buy and why.
